Title: Is burning mp3's to DVD supported?
Post by: Markeau on December 05, 2003, 09:14:43 am
I guess at some point I might want to burn mp3's to DVD with my Pioneer DVD burner.  Is this supported in MC?

Shore is. Technically a data burn...but it won't do audio burns to DVD (so no 480 minute CD's).

Though there aren't any DVD players as far as I'm aware that will play back MP3s from DVDs - they're normally restricted to only playback MP3s from CDs.

Actually, quite a few of the newer DVD players will play mp3 DVD's. Check the specs though to see if it only handles DVD-Video format. I've got a $39.00 Walmart "Apex" DVD player that plays mp3 and jpg files from a DVD written in MC just fine. You have to "close" the DVD before it works in a consumer player however. After you burn the DVD in MC, select the "Close disk" option on the options menu in the MC burning dialog.
