A spectrogram/wavelet view (spectral view in Cool Edit) would allow to see correlations between time domain and frequency domain. It would be nice to see it in Visualization Studio (of course with optional reference grids...).
A spectrogram has also an interesting look, so non-technical users could enjoy it too. Some 3D visualizations in Winamp quite resemble it.
