Is MediaCenter compatible with the TiVo Basic Service?

I'm not sure exactly what you are asking.  If you do not have the Home Media Option, then there will be no menu choice on your Tivo to play music from any source.  It has nothing to do with Media Center.

I really like HMO --  streaming music and pictures from Media Center; sharing between two Tivos; scheduling over the web are my three top features in that order.
