While trying to understand the almost impenetrable details of how one buys, installs and unlocks this product I clicked the link on the "Restoring a license" page http://www.musicex.com/mediajukebox/restore.html, which takes you to https://rover.jriver.com/cgi-bin/restore.cgi ...
... and promptly got "connection refused" ... if I was trying to install an unlock code presumably this would mean I couldn't unlock the product because JR's server won't accept connections.
Is that right?

Are you using Microsoft Internet Explorer as your browser?

I am, and I get the 4-oh-4 too.
kragorn, the server's prolly just gone and crashed. I'm %200 certain that the 1st member of staff @ jriver will reboot it or whatever else it takes to get it back online. Don't worry, just have to be a bit patient is all.
Does highlight the only difficulty with the whole licensing proceedure though. I can only assume that if the servers were ever going to be turned off permanently, we would all be sent mjr's that never expired?

We've got an equipment problem. It should be solved within a few hours.

Not unless I can help it .. and even then I think twice .. I use Firebird 99.9% of the time, Opera 0.075% and IE 0.025%. ;D

Just in case you still experience problems when the server is up and running again, try with IE. It should work.

The server is available now.
