Title: Saving database too often

I know someone else had this problem a few weeks ago. Did it ever get resolved?

I am using v. 9.1.316

I have about 88gig of music, 1270 some albums, with cover art and lyrics and bios for as many of them as exist.

Suddenly in the last week really, I get the Saving Database box (and the ensuing interruption) much, much more frequently than I would like. It is happening about every few minutes and does not seem to be related to the number of changes I make or additions and I don't think (though I could be wrong) it is happening at equal time intervals.

Can I stop this? Can I slow it down? Can you help?

I really Don't think it is as Bad As It Was

And The fix should have been put in before 9.1.316 if i am not mistaken

I had this problem in the past for a long time.
MC did have some adjustments made addressing this, but IMO this only made it different and not necessarily better.

My fix has worked very well, but at a cost.
Solution (of the patch/band-aid type):  remove all artist bio's, lyrics, comments that are unnecessary, etc . . .  anything you can do to minimize the size of the MC database (my library file changed from like 1.3MB down to like 50KB).

In my case this cured the problem, but left me lacking those little niceties (for now at last).  
I was able to keep all my cover art because that is not stored in the files/tags.

This did make MC lightening fast by changing my library file from 1.3MB down to like 50KB
