Hi,
I noticed this in MC 10 (may be in v9.1 as well). I always use ASIO output plugin. It works great for playing files from hard drive. However, when I play the web media (radio stations), there is no sound.
If I change the output plugin to directsound or waveout then the web media plays fine.
I would hate to not use ASIO. I would also hate to keep changing the output plugin depending on what I want to listen. Any advise?
thanks,
Osho

To reply to my own post:
when I play web media (radio station) with ASIO output plugin; the station plays fine (I see buffering and then connecting message). Everything indicates that the play is fine. The problem is that there is no sound!

try changing the channel offset till you get the one that works.

ASIO Output plugin does work for regular file playback and DVD playback as well
It is only the web media (Radio station ) that does not work.
I am not sure channel offset is related to it.

help please.

It's possible that some web radio stations will be a lower sample rate than your card can support in ASIO. Either use DSP to set the sample rate or switch to DirectSound / WaveOut.

I used the DSP to set the sample rate of the output to 32-bit/ 176.4kHz for Web Media. Still no sound for Web Media. Files from harddrives do get sampled to this and play fine (Actually I think they sound better sampled up.. but that just may be psychological :)).
I really really do not want to use non ASIO output as I do 90% listening to files from harddrives and 10% from Web Media.
