Title: Update Tags From Library Fails
Post by: qstar2k on December 25, 2003, 10:56:50 pm
I am trying to update some mp3 tags from my library, however when I try to do this I get the message 19 files updated (19 Failures). it gives no indication as to why it cant update them. Any ideas  ?

Regards
Wayne

It would be good if it said why... I've had similar problems in the past, both with read-only files and files that don't exist and it shows no difference between the two.

or it should let the use know that the files are write protected, override? if yes the program un-locks the files writes the tags then locks the file again, or keeps it on-locked per the users input

It would be nice if there was some indication of where the tag is being stored, in the MC database or the MP3 file, perhaps a different color for each type. (Same For Images)

When this error first started happening I didnt realise the tags were being stored by MC until I re-imported my database and lost many of my tags. I have now gone back to using tag and rename because I dont know if MC has saved my tags to the MP3's or not.
