I've just purchased MJ Plus and can't get the MP3 encoder to work. When I first downloaded MJ for free, the MP3 ripper worked like a champ. Now that I've purchased the application, the MP3 encoder doesn't function. Here's the following "information" that appears when I try to download the encoder:
Invalid Package File. Cannot Continue.
What gives? I've uninstalled the MJ program. Shut down windows, then reinstalled the MJ program. Same problem occurs.
I'm running Windows 2000. Can you help???
Signed,
Frustrated.

make sure Internet explorer is the default browser when trying to install plug-ins.
what link are you using to download the plug-in?
what version of MJ8 are you using?
if you go to help, and select system info you can paste that in your next message.
there is no change in the program when you register it so if mp3 encoding was working before it should work after.
are you sure the program is registered?

My default browser is IE 6.0
I'm registered for MJ Plus 8.0.400
I'm downloading from Plug-in Manager.
Please help. Thanks.

KingSparta,
Thanks for your assistance. I finally figured out the problem. Apparently, I had to right click on the plug-in driver and "save target as". Next, once the file had finally downloaded, I selected "open file". Here, the file opened automatically and loaded itself on MJ.
Previously, I did these steps with the exception of running the file when prompted. This is were the error would re-occur.
Signed...Relieved.

yes that will work.
if you open up the file you will see the http link to the encoder file.
with this you can download the encoder.
then change the link on the downloaded file you right clicked on and then save both on your backup disk.
i am sure in the near future support for MJ8 will stop so the files may not be aval
