Title: I'd love to give you money but...
Post by: cathy_n on December 27, 2003, 03:41:48 am
This is the third time this week I have tried to give my money to a software product to register it, and it is the third time that the process has failed for some reason.

When I choose the "Buy Media Jukebox" menu selection, it invariably sends me to a page which does not load.  https://rover.jriver.com/cgi-bin/buy.cgi?productid=1 times out every time it attempts to load with the error "Could not connect to remote server".  This behavior is duplicated in Opera, Internet Explorer, and Mozilla Firebird.

I had looked forward to rewarding the Media Jukebox team for their commitment to producing a music organizer that could handle OGG.  Hopefully this problem will be rectified soon.

A few suggestions...

1) Clear out your Temporary Internet Files directory => IE>Tools>Internet Options>General (tab)
2) Temporarily disable firewall and antivirus software
3) Use IE (at least v5.01)
4) Make sure your current user membership is of the Administrators group

This could be a firewall problem on your network or even on your ISP's.
