this is an example of most of my file names:

Z:\(A-B)\Beck\(1999) Midnite Vultures\01.Beck - Sexx Laws.mp3 (the colored part is the file name)

right click on the songs, and goto up library tools-update tags from filename.
Then paste in [Track #].[Artist] - [Name]
this will work for track of this format, however its easy to adjust it to suit different formats using the dropdown list.

Quote
01.Beck - Sexx Laws.mp3

you would need to use rule

[Track #].[Artist] - [Name]

normaly " - " is the devider

" - " is not the same as "-"

The function you need is actually Library Tools> Fill Properties From Filename.
