Is it possiible to rip data discs in mp3 to MJ? If so please let me know.

i don't understand the question
MJ8 can rip audio disks to MP3

I have my cd collection backed up to data discs. Instead of ripping 300+ cds, I would like to rip 30 or so data discs to MJ. I have MJ8.0.399 plus. When I attempt to rip these data discs I am prompted only audio cds only can be ripped. Is there a workaround? This app is very nice but defeats my main reason for getting it if it will not allow me to rip my backed up discs.

there is no such thing as riping Data disks, you lost me there.
when you rip you rip from Audio Disks, to data disks like MP3. you do not rip MP3 (data disks) they are already ripped.
are you saying you have a bunch of disks that have mp3's on them?
what do you want to do with the mp3's burn them to audio disks?
put them into the MJ library so you can play them?

I want to load these discs onto my hard drive using MJ8. I had this data saved on my old computer. I now want to load it onto my new computer.

The confusion here is that you keep saying "data discs", but you haven't said what format this data is in?
If you mean that you have 30 cds of mp3s, all you have to do is copy and paste the mp3s from the cds to your hardrive using Windows Explorer and then import the mp3s into MJ.

yes, just use Windows Explorer to Copy them to what ever drive you want, then you will need to change the Read Only Bit (since they are coming from A CD) and then reimport them into MJ8 when you have done that.
