Title: burn from playlist
Post by: ddaro on December 31, 2003, 09:07:05 am
Running 9.1.316.. is there a way to burn a cd based on the contents of a playlist? Dragging and dropping the contents of a playlist seems to just burn the playlist. I wanted to select only those songs in a particular playlist and also preserve the order.

Sorry if this has been answered before, I did hunt around the boards but came up empty.

thanks

Grab the playlist in the tree and drag it to your burner in the tree.

Otherwise select individual tracks (from anywhere) and drag them to the burner.

The order should be preserved.

Thats what I was doing but it resulted in a CD containing 1 KB files named Track01.cda etc.  I did it two ways: select all from the playlist and drag and drop that to the burner, and then from the playlist I selected Send To my burner. In both cases I ended up burning cda files not mp3 files not to mention I lost the file names. Before burning I did check the file naming options and they were set to Artist\Album.

I also tried sending the playlist to Playing Now since Playing Now supports sending to the burner but that just crashed MC9.

I must be doing something wrong but not a clue as to what it might be.

Thanks for the reply :)

There should be a dialog asking if you want an audio or a data CD when you first drop files on the drive.  Make sure you pick "Data".
