What are you trying to convert to WMA?

TimB
WAV or MP3 or WMA

did you get this working yet? You should post your system info too, then perhaps someone with a closely matching system can test for you. Also, add some more info about the files involved, size and bitrate of original and the wma encoder settings chosen.
Then you will get a better comparison.
For what it's worth, I just encoded a 17 minute, 160 kbps mp3 to wma 320 kbps (no DRM) and it worked just fine.
Sys info...

I had a similar problem with 10.0.25. I was attempting to convert from MP3 to WMA Lossless (just as a test). The Convert Audio went through its paces and looked to be successful. When I attempted to play the WMA file, it would play approximately the first 25 seconds of the song then it would repeat. It was as if there was a loop during conversion. I have not tried 10.0.27 to see if I have similar issues. It was kind of weird but I figured it was a personal problem.

I notice:
MC seems to alter WMP9 in some way possibly to do with the recognition of WM files as WMA, WMV or ASF.
I can't get to the encoder download page.
I can Convert anything to and from anything except to any sort of WMA but can record and rip to any WMA
Microsoft have stopped supporting W98.
I could build a good conspiracy theory here if it were not for the CIA's satellites intefering with my brain waves.
Also, at the back of my mind, is the thought that I may have missed ticking a box somewhere.
