Just an idea I've had.
Auto resizing panes came, much to my joy, then vanished again never to be seen again.
I'm aware there was some problems with it to begin with but I had hoped this was just because it was a first attempt at it and that it would be refined. Instead it seems to have been dropped.
Instead of trying to make all the panes automatically resize as this might be quite tricky and take more time than it's worth how about just making certain panes narrower.
My suggestion would be that any grouped fields be made a specific (narrower) width as the needed width of these will always be the same.
Also - year is always going to be 4 digits so could be a fixed width.
If grouped panes at least were narrower this would really allow for a lot more power to the panes as grouping all items would be natural as the grouped pane would take up next to no space and could be easily ignored.
What'd u think?

I just don't know why they don't have user adjustable panes...
-
I really NEED adjustable panes because I cannot view the longer entries.

once again Nila makes sense ;)
-
I wish at least there were tooltips for the long entries in the panes...
