Happy New Year everyone,
I have added the Track # 0 (zero) to all of my singles for sorting and filtering purposes but for some reason it is lists Track # 0 and Unassigned results the same. It still views "0" as "Unassigned" and vice versa. I suspect it is expecting a range from 1-?. That still makes me wonder why it lets me enter the value of 0 though. I have issues with things being unassigned (call me anal). I guess I could enter a very high value instead. If this is my only recourse, what is the valid range for "Track #".
Any suggestions or comments?

what is the valid range for "Track #".
i think that depends
I have entered upto like 30,000 in the track #
the problem is is it being sent to the tag.
In ID3v2 i would say yes
ID3v1.1 i would say no since the highest track # should be something like 255 since only one byte is used for track # for ID3v1.1

I have used high numbers for this purpose . . . . all song files I have which are independant of albums (individual songs) I number with my birth year as the track number (1952), and all videos are numbered track 7500 (the model number of my ATi-AIW video card).
I have not tried to go up to a 5-digit number.
Be creative ;)
