Title: What's a simple method to remove all songs by an artist from Playing Now?

Here's the scenario:
I've started a playlist/smartlist playing and after hearing a few songs I decide I don't want to hear any songs from a particular artist anymore.

I've tried the following methods, but both of them end up clearing playing now and stopping playback, which seems wrong:
1) Type the artist name into the playing now search field, then select the first song listed, hit Ctrl-A, then hit Delete.
2) Type the artist name into the playing now search field, then select the first song listed, Shift-Page Down to select all the songs listed, then hit Delete.

I guess I could sort by artist, then select the range of songs by the artist and hit delete, but this seems like extra work...

I agree. I've done that too many times finding that everything gets deleted instead of the selected items.
