? I upgraded to MJ9 before 1st Dec. got message re- expiry as others did. Found your revised download and tried again but now receiving message "Media Jukebox was not installed correctly for the current user. Please reinstall MJ".
I have tried a number of times now including a reinstall of the original MJ8, upgrade to MJ9 and even tried a Restore but all to no avail. The above message still comes up.
Please advise. ?

Your user account needs administrative rights. Also...installing over previous version (despite anything said to the contrary) is not good.
Backup license...uninstall MJ...reinstall MJ...restore license

I don't think you're correct, Xen. I do it all the time.
Why do you think so?
The only reason I can imagine that this might be necessary is when a user database is corrupt. It should not be standard practice.

Jim...
tell you what...
It sure eliminates a lot of variables and since I'm not sitting in front of his computer, it's a good practice to adhere to. For that reason again, I always suggest updating everything that can be updated (like ASPI). In problematic installations, a "common ground" makes diagnosis much easier (and resolution more likely).
