Title: Failed to convert

I 'ripped' a cd and wma files were created. Now I'd like to convert these to mp3. When I use the Tools option to convert format, I get an error "Failed to convert" with no explanation.

MJ will not convert protected (DRM'd) wma's...and from what I've gathered it may have trouble on un-protected wma's as well. Don't know. May have something to do with the wma format itself (there are 3 to 4 different versions of it floating around). You should re-rip using another format (ie ogg or mp3).

Did you try rebooting?

I had that message before, Rebooted and all was OK.
