If you have a view filtered down in the right panes then select Build Playlist and supply a name, the view resets to show all tracks.

I really wish the view in the library was sticky also - I hate paging through my library (20,000+ songs) finding something - switching to playing now or playlist and then going back to the library and having to start at A again!  Please consider this in a future build.  Thanks

This is already there.  Just use the back command. (Backspace, toolbar, mouse, alt+left, etc.)

We don't remember by default (w/o the back button) because that's confusing too.

MC works a lot like IE in this respect.  Scrolling, etc. is only remembered if you use back.
