Things like this are why I recommend that people use services like SneakEmail.com (http://www.sneakemail.com). This service lets you create literal one-use email addresses, which goes a very long way toward corralling problems, stopping spam, and tracking email address distribution. SneakEmail.com is free for basic use.

Thanks... I had never head of this before. I quick scan of the FAQ wasn't enough to let me understand exactly how this works, but I look forward to a more careful analysis.
I was a great fan of the one-time credit card numbers (a-la' Discover). This seems equally useful.

Another option is http://spamgourmet.com.

I really care less if they get my e-mail address.
I use Norton Internet Security 2004 It dumps all the junk e-mail for me, And Norton AV 2004 scans it for me.

Hi All:
I got 2 e-mails from this scam as well. The domain was <myaddy>@mindspring.com in both cases.
IMHO either the board was hacked or the domain server(s) this board uses.

People wouldn't need to sneak around if others were honest.

You say that now, but what if you were getting so much spam/virii that your account was no longer viable? What if it reached its maximum size within hours? What if Norton didn't flag the messages as "junk"?
I don't worry either... not for my every-day account. But my "e-mail for life" is a bigger concern. For the most part, if you don't know me (and know me well), you won't get the address.

Well i think my provider should know what is junk mail, if the same mail passes thru there server on a mass mail the could detect it and stop it.

One would think... but that's not necessarily so. I went around-and-around with SBC (certainly a top tier provider in the U.S.) and they had no such capability. The impression I got was that they weren't willing to deal with the false positives of server-side filtering.

Check out http://www.1and1.com (http://www.1and1.com). Promotion for three years free web hosting. $6 per year for a domain name. You can set up as many email addresses as you'd like.
Total cost is $6 per year. I think it's a great deal.

I have a link to a service who give you AS MUCH AS YOU WANT alias adress
But , just adress, not a mail service.
But quitte easy to use one pop-up accompt to reteive it
Like it , you can use alias when registered to forum s ,ect ect.
For now , the problem is that i do not find the link.....
If you understand another language than english , you can open Yahoo mail accompts
And foward them to a pop-up adress- If you Yahoo mail not .com ,it is still free.
The good thing with Yahoo is that you can set it to import or not the Spam folder in your pop-up
