Hi Team
I went on holiday for 3 weeks and had a lovely time.
However no one had Media Center and I was really looking forward to listening to my music again. :)
When I went to start it up all I got was a box saying my Media Center Ver.10.013 Beta has timed out and to download an upgrade.
I couldn't start it to do this so I reinstalled 9.1 316 so I could seek advice.
I'm not happy that my Version 10 that I paid for and have the registration code for, has timed out.
I'm wondering if I download the latest 10 Beta upgrade can I put in my registration code and have version 10 registered again?
cheers

I think they
wanted to allow users to test it but not hang on to the first betas for life like some users do.
I remember one user had a beta for over a year, and never upgraded until he had a problem and asked why it did not work. I guess he did not know he could download updates.

I am quite happy to use the Beta programme of ten otherwise I would not have paid for it.
I do not download every update and are inclined to wait maybe 10 builds before doing so.
But I still don't think my registered version should have timed out.
Is this likely to happen again?
If I hadn't kept version 9.1, I would have no MC at all.

Registered or not, it's still a beta build, not an official build. It's issues like these that we are warned about in every single beta release thread. ;) In other words, given that you were forewarned, it's not really fair of you to complain about it now; but, you know, that's just my opinion. :)
