Hi all,
I rip my CDs to HTPC, however I only rip the songs I want. As a result, I may have an artist with 30-40 songs, but without any real CD delineation (obviously they come from many CDs). Therefore I need a library hierarchy that lists artists and then songs (but no CDs/albums/etc.).
Can MC do this?
Also, when I play music, I tend to browse the library (artist/song) and pick out 10-15 songs and add them to a playlist and then play the playlist. Obviously this requires being able to see the songs in the playlist both when choosing and when playing.
Can MC do this?
Sometimes I've done such a great job at creating a playlist that I want to simply save the playlist and play it again later.
Can MC do this?
Also, I need to perform the above tasks with my Pronto/irman setup.
Can MC do this?
I apologize for these simplistic questions, but I've downloaded the trial and can't seem to get these requirements to work. I currently use Musicmatch which is a terrible program, but it does do the above.

Thanks mindracing, I must attempt this again. If I can't figure out how to get this to work (a distinct possibility), then I will be back for a few other stupid questions.

The only stupid question, is the one not asked. Except maybe, if it is asked by KingSparta. He already knows everything. ;D

I read the first post and at first thought it was a commercial! :P
You know... that bank commerical? Bank of America or BankOne or something where the guy keeps asking, "Can you do this for me?"
-
The only question mark I would put is the 'do all this with a pronto' issue...
While MC may be basically controllable building playlists etc is not so user frindly with a pronto.. Perhaps the most recent hairstyle builds have got friendly enough for this but at last look they were not...

rgmc - what you want to look at doing is customising the tree to get the View Schemes you want.
Expand Media Library and right click on afew of them.
In there you can edit how you view you files etc to set it up the way you want it.
Also try right clicking, send to, playlist.
