Hi Matt,

Congratulations, this is a great, great effect - I like that a lot! Have spent quite a while watching my artwork moving around.

Just a few things I noticed:
While some images move around very little, some start highly magnified or get highly magnified to become totally blurred. This does not look nice. I think the movement should take into consideration two factors:
- image size
- screen resolution

a 800x600 image on a 19" screen gets blurred quickly if you magnify too much, while a 1600x1200 may retain the focus all the time.

Also, on this occasion: some images in landscape format that slightly deviate from standard sizes do not stretch properly on MC - you will see small black borders (maybe 1/3 of an inch) either on top/bottom or left/right. If I stretch the same image as a wallpaper, it stretches along the whole desktop. This of course happens only with images slightly out of proportion. If would not make sense with images in portrait format.

And what about improving image title configuration during the slideshow and giving us some more options (font, size, position on screen, effects (marquee etc.), display duration etc.)

A weee bit of a question...

When I change a group of files, a FULL screen comes on saying... Changing 1 of 300 then 2 of 300 and so on...

Isn't this supposed to be just a little pop up window?

This has been around for a long time..

If I move several files to one loaction, I get the message that a file is a duplicate, I say "NO" do not over write it.  When all done the file is still in the original location (That is good).  It is no longer in the data base.

Wow, nice build!
I have no major issues.

I would like to join in the chorus, asking for a larger search window.
Also there must be a way to fit the equilizer in the main MEGA-ME window.
Buttons to quickly switch to Hairstyle, and mini-me would be nice as well.

Love the way it's coming along!  Just a few suggestions...

1.  In Options on the General Tab there's the selection for "Jump On Play".  I think that it should be changed to reflect the type pf media that we're talking about...  What I mean is that when I'm playing music I DON'T want it to jump to PN, but if I'm playing pics or movies then I DO want it to change!  Maybe "Jump to Playing Now with Video" or something could be added.

2.  Search Bar should go back where it was...  It isn't long enough now to do a whole lot of good.

3.  The Options menu delay is still there.  IT's about 1 to 1.5 seconds after clicking the options selection til the dialog comes up.

4.  Rip CD\Burn CD icons are the same in the AW

5.  PLEASE OH PLEASE can we have the option to "Clear Playing Now on Exit"?

A few remarks:

- The latest versions of MC tend to crash every hour when busy ripping (reboot is needed);
- Recognizing CD's takes more time;
- Overall MC is slower;
- It's unclear how to rip CD's partially or not all drives.

When will the work on the rip part be "finished". Already went back to version 10.0.30 once and version 10.0.32 is still unclear!

MC10 is causing the pc to freeze for up to 30 seconds when the last track on PN has finished.
It's being caused by the fadeout setting in Options/Playback. The length of the freeze is dependent on the length of the fadeout chosen.

I get  the following message when trying to print images :-
There are no printers installed

The new slide show effect is great (auto pan/Ken Burns).

I thought that it might not be that great without the ability to define what the pan is on each slide.  But the fact is that the convenience of just starting up the show and letting it go is so great, that who would want to fuss around with setting up each frame.

Suggestions:

- Take into account how long each slide will play.  If the slide is only going to be up for a few seconds, it probably shouldn't start with a really tight zoom on one corner and start zooming out.  I had a couple of slides where only about 25% of the slide was visible before it switched to a new picture.

-Try to evaluate the resolution of the picture to avoid blockiness/pixelation.  It makes the photos look bad and the software seem second rate (which it is not!)  Not ALL pans have to be zooms in/out.  These are certainly the most dramatic, but it seems like some could be just side to side, up and down or corner to corner for the sake of variety.

-Speed.  This effect seems like it must be a resource hog the way it slowed down my pc.  My guess is that it will always be slow, but anything that can be done to speed it up will be a huge win.

-LEAVE IT IN!! Having this feature is one of those WOW! factors that can't be matched by anything else out there.  Anyone that is trying to do this same type of stuff is doing it as a seperate package and requiring frame by frame setup.  You guys just jumped ahead by doing it on the fly.

V10 is looking nice!  And it seems like you are just getting started!!

Any progress on the checkbox type of custom field?

Something wierd up with MC.

Imported a bunch of images into it, was tagging them inside of MC and as I was tagging them, red X's started appearing on some.
Checked the hard drive and they had been deleted.
MC was the only program dealing with the images at the time.

Also bug - using the panes to tag a file as 'unassigned' literally sets the value to 'unassigned' in which case you get two 'unassigned' appearing in the tree.

Short remark/question:

I reinstalled 10.0.32!
It seems that al my CD's with secure-rip to ape are now 100% correct.

Is that because of a better rip proces or just not showing all the information.  :-\

Title: Audible Error
Post by: rogowar on January 13, 2004, 04:56:17 pm
Whenever I try to manipulate my Audible media, a window opens requesting my Audible user name.  When I enter my username and password and click OK, the Activation in Progress runs, then Activation complete.  When I click the Continue button, it just loops back around, indefinately.  When I get bored of typing my user info (which really doesn't take long!) and click cancel (sometimes takes a few Cancels) I get a Real Jukebox error.  After OK-ing there, Media Center usually dies altogether, though not always.

There's something a little wrong about Auto-insert CD stuff if Media Center is not running currently.

I have MC set as default player for CDs. I also have the option ticked so that MC asks whether to "Do Nothing", "Rip" or "Play" CDs. When MC is running, this works fine and I get a little dialog box that asks me which of these options to do.

However when MC isn't running, I get the Windows XP box that asks me what I want to do. When I select the "Media Center" option, MC starts fine and then automatically does the option that was selected last time I was asked. I do not get a dialog that asks what I want.

the last 2 builds have messed up the transfer to handheld.  I use a memory card reader which shows up as a drive.  After I send to that drive and click on it, there is no option to upload files.

Double clicking a file from Windows will start MC, but MC then doesn't start playback. If MC is already running when you double click the file, then MC will start playing. As far as I know, this has been a problem with MC for a really long time.

I have had this problem also for as long as I can remember.
