Nah, I have an X10 and had this problem. I looked into it but apparently when things are in the system tray they act differently. Quiet annoying
Just realised you can send the commands to mjextman.exe instead of using windows messages. Doh, all this time  :o

hi!

its true that you can do that but thats rather limited isnt it, at least what i know about mjextman.exe commands from he help file in the MC dev.zone, if you use the grider gml file that is in the mc data dir there are so much more options then in the mjextman.exe commands, but i guess they dont work in the system trey... :-[

If you can't use mjextman commands just put the command in a multi-group and have girder restore the MC window first, then process the command, then minimise MC again.  You may need wait commands in between.

You can target MC while in the system tray if you turn on the "Match Invisible Tasks" option in the targeting dialog for the command you want to send.

That way you can use whatever commands you want. Windows messages, mjextman, whatever...! :)

Best,
Brad

nice one Brad, I have asked lots of people about this and they all say it isn't possible. Bit annoying you have to do everyone but the windows messages seem to work faster than the mjextman commands.
Zeltak, the mjextman commands work if MC is in the system tray ok. But I am going to do it Brad's way, nice one.

It would be good if this were in the default gml file supplied with MC... J River, if someone supplies you with a updated GML file, can this be fixed? (I don't see [or forsee :)] any side effects of setting this to match invisible tasks.. anyone else?)

I don't see any effects of doing this, only someone has to go through and change the values. I had a look in the gml file but can't see where the value is stored in there. Are you volenteering you do it?  ;)

Heh,

No promises, but this has been on my "todo" list for quite some time. There have also been a handful of additional commands created since I last updated that GML.

Maybe next week! :)
