When i try to use NOMAD II or NOMAD II MG plugin (I have NOMAD MG), Media Center 9.1 (All Versins) totally hang! I have latest plugin versions. On the some of the oldest MC 9 versions all was fine. Now i have worked with my player versions of MP9 and Creative Media Source.
Will be greatefullif you add posibilities to change song number and position in NOMAD device. (After thet i will forget about other programs !).
Best wishes! :D

JohnElin,
That plugin has not changed since July. If all was fine before and now is not, it is not the plugin, but most likely a driver issue. Where does it hang, during uploads, or when you try to view what is on the player? What version of the Nomad drivers do you have installed?

JohnElin,
I just retested this on XP with MC 9.1.316 and plugin 9.0.06. I downloaded the latest Nomad II drivers from NomadWorld ...
nmusb.sys - 1.0.4.2.14
ctnmsp.dll - 1.0.22
ctnmsp.crl - 1.0.16
ctmp3io2.dll - 1.06.12.0
Everything works without a problem. Can you double check everything that I tested (i.e. version numbers, OS, etc) and see what is possibly different? If nothing, I don't know what the problem is.

I am having the same problem with lockup.
XP
mc 9.1.316
plugin 9.0.06
up-to date drivers from nomadworld
nomad II player
The player identifies itself to XP just fine, and I can transfer files with other programs, but Media Center just gives me an hourglass as soon as I click on the NomadII option in the Handhelds field. It completely locks the program and I have to right-click on the icon to close it.
If I send a file to the player, same thing, full lockup of the program.
It used to work under 9.1, not sure what build.

Kurt,
Can you verify the driver versions I list in my last post?
Steve
-
Steve, the driver versions do match, I had just downloaded them, and the previous driver version had the same lockup issue as well.
My nomad works fine with all other programs, just something in Media Center, probably since 9.1, is causing the issue.

-
Kurt,
I cannot replicate this here which makes it hard to fix.
Steve

Steve,
I also tested on a Windows 2000 pro machine with MC 9.1.316, and the corresponding win2000 drivers for the nomad, and that worked fine.
The problem machine is XP home edition, with SP1. Are you trying with the same XP setup?
--Kurt
-
Kurt,
I am testing on XP Pro. I will have to try on home edition.
Steve
-
Ah, that could be the difference then, since we all know XP Home is the illegimate child of Win2k and ME...
Let me know if it fails there. You'll know right away.

Kurt,
I will get to this, but it will be a little while.

I'm running WinXP pro and have downloaded all of the latest versions of the nomad drivers from nomadworld.
The Nomad II MG works fine with all of the Nomad software. When I attempt to access the nomad with MC (ver 9.1.316) I get a msgbox titled hh_n... with a "Co Create Error" message. Press the OK button and get another msgbox titled h... with a "80040154!" message.
I got the same message using ver 8. I upgraded hoping ver 9 would fix my problem.
Hope this helps. You've got a great product!

Redownloaded the
nmusb.sys - 1.0.4.2.14
from nomadworld and reinstalled it. Everything works great now! Must have gotten a bad download first time 'round.
