Title: support for creative extigy remote control?
Post by: forresto on January 15, 2004, 09:07:45 am
I have a Creative SB Extigy, and I was wondering if there are plans to supprt the remote control that comes with those. It has up, down, left, right, and enter buttons, so it would be perfect for navigating MC in hairstyle mode.

Is there any hack to do this now?

I'd also love to see support for the creative remotes. I'm sure they all use the same api...

I suppose it's something I could try to do myself...if anybody fancies working on this with me then give me a shout.

I would, but all I can really offer is testing. Keep this thread alive if something is going to happen!

Can't comment on support in MC... but have you tried Girder (http://www.girder.nl)?

Girder doesn't say it supports the Extigy receiver, but uIce (http://www.mediatexx.com/hardware.htm) does, and even has a specific addon for MC.
Reg. is $20, kinda steep.

Been testing it out, it works without a hitch. I doubt I'll reg, tho,,, I'd rather walk across the room to change tracks then go to the trouble of paying.
