Title: Isn't it time MC 10 has its own forum?

What do you think?

I think they will get around to it.

they had talked about removing some and just have one main forum.

since MC9 and MC10 are basicly the same i see no real need other than maybe renaming it "media Center" and The Other "media Jukebox"

True. Since the discussions tend to center around either development, or support, that's how I would break the lists down instead of versions.

'Beta' and 'Stable' makes the most sense.
Stable = support only for fully stable released versions.
Beta is for development ones.

...or maybe "released" and "beta" ?

Released and beta seems a good idea.

One plus about separating out the forum into beta and released areas is that it makes it easier to find support.  Right now, searching the forum returns results that include v9.X, all of the v9.X betas, all of the 10.x betas, and who knows what else.  That is a ton of results to search through before getting help with an issue.

Often it is so overwhelming that people repost the same support issues over and over.  If you are running a 9.1 realeased version, wading through beta 10 issues will do you no good.

Exactly the point I would make!

Another thread would imply there has only been 3 bug issues posted for the release version of MC9.1 (316) in the last month.  I believe it's more likely the issues regarding 9.1 have totally been lost in this forum, which is now really a MC10 forum ... and MC10 user's are assuming as much, even to the point of not posting which version they're speaking of.  It's time for a forum of their own! And, I'm tired of wading through all these MC10 issues while my preferred version of MC is 9.1.

just my CA$0.02  :)

I think having an iPod and portable devices forum would be beneficial too.  The current method of haing one iPod thread does not gather similar problems/issues together in an effective way.  Given the complexity and persistent problems (caused by Apple being so closed to outside developers IMHO), there is a decent amount of Forum traffic.

Thanks!
