Every time I open KingSparta's Bio finder in MC v. 10 (I was on .38 and now am on .41). I get a funny message that says I have to upgrade MC because my version is too old. Then it goes ahead and works just fine.
Is this something I should worry about? Can we make it go away?
Thanks.

I don't get that message.
maybe you should uninstall it and download the newest version since this was fixed like 2 months ago.
-
Well, that's odd. I thought I had the latest version since I don't think it's been a month since I last checked. But hey, I'll try that.
-
I just downloaded and installed the version that is on the website and I still get the message.

what is the Date Of "Artist Bios Finder.ocx" file?
And What Is The Version # that shows On The Tab?
Do a search and find all of them if there is more than one.
I just Looked In The Current Code And I Found Nothing That Should Give You That Message.
What Is The Exact Message Word For Word?
-
The exact message is:
MC version (10.0.38) Is Too Low And Will Not Work Correctly, You Must Upgrade MC9!
I see *no* version number on the tab. It only says "Artist Bio Finder".
The date of the ocx file is 10/25/03

that text is not in the current version.
That date is an old date, the new version is dated 12-19-03 and is currently up for download.
I also verified the download file date and it is 12-19-03
when downloading you maybe installing what is currently on your hard drive
Windows Explorer has a problem with this if the program has the same file name.

Okay, I completely uninstalled it and reinstalled it and that seems to have done it. Now I have a file dated 12/9 and in the tab it says 0.0.3 and everything I think you expected.
So, the moral of the story is -- uninstall before you install a new version.
Thanks for the help (and the program, too. This one and Lyric finder I am quite devoted to.)
