I get a nasty looking Symantec Script virus error when I run Lyric finder. Actually, it is not really consistent - and nowadays I think it happens when I am *leaving* the plugin to go somewhere else in MC. So far, I have assumed that it is a false warning and I say "run the script one time". But I thought I should check before I choose "ignore this error" altogether.
Does anyone else get this error?

No, but I get a "malicious script error" from Norton Antivirus with some machnies (DELL Optiplex GX400's and GX200's) when using Chart Finder. I brought it up with KingSparta and this is what he wrote:
"I don't get that message and I use Norton Antivirus 2003
Also Chart Finder Does Not Directly Access The Had Drive.
So you have other things happening to your system"

That is not a virus
That is because you are not authorizing the script as they call it, when the message pops up from NAV it asks you a few questions.
If you authorize it you will not get that warning.
===================================
All the program is doing is saving your settings for the program, saving them to the registry.
if you do not do this NAV will keep giving you this warning.
This message deals with 1. the version Of Norton AV and 2. your Norton AV settings.

Great, I'll make the message go away. I just wanted to check since it had gone away and then came back when I upgraded MC. It always helps to know what is happening that Norton is misconstruing.
Thanks.

King,
I save settings to the registry too and it's never caused it to pop-up on my system.
I use the build in method of 'savesettings(appName, group, settingname, value)'
Dunno if you used this but it might prevent this message appearing if this isn't how you save your reg settings.

i will try that out next time.
