I have just installed a Hauppuage PVR-250 TV capture card. I have a Directv receiver connected up via S-Video with the Audio via a RCA composite to Stereo plugin (into the Haupuage card). My audio card is an Audigy 2.
The video is working fine but I can't seem to get any audio - I get either nothing or a hi pitched noise.
How should I configure for the audio (There is no Hauppuage to soundcard connection) ?
Thanks !

I have Media Center 10.0.71 installed and I still get no audio with Media Center TV tuner.
Any suggestions ?
Both video and audio from the Haupuage PVR-250 card works fine with Snapstream Beyond TV3.

Where are you connecting your audio input from the Hauppuage card on the Audigy card? If the mixer has that input muted, you will get no audio. Make sure the input is "open".

I have the same card. The Hauppauge does not need an audio connection, because TV-video and audio is handled by the TV-card. Is has a hardware mpeg2-encoder. TV-audio does not show up in the mixer, but can be controlled by the standard wave-slider or from within the WinTV2000 Application. So you cannot control an "open input".
The card is not (yet) supported by Media Center.

According to the Media Center FAQ the Hauppauge card is supported:

What TV cards are supported by MEDIA CENTER?
ATI TV cards, including ALL-IN-WONDER, TV-WONDER, TV-WONDER VE, and TV-WONDER USB. Use the latest drivers provided by ATI.
Hauppauge cards, including WinTV PCI and USB boards, excluding WinTV-HD, WinTV-D, and WinTV-PVR. Use latest drivers provided by Hauppauge. However, for WinTV PCI users if your OS is Win98SE, WinME, Win2000, and WinXp, it is recommended that you use WDM driver available from Hauppauge site.
Pinnacle Systems Studio PCTV/PCTV PRO cards. You need to download WDM driver from here.
BT8xx based TV cards made by other manufactures may also work. You need to try it out. If the manufacturer of your BT8xx chipset cards do not provide a WDM driver, you can try the generic WDM driver.
Cards reported to work with MC by end users (but not tested by JRiver):
I/OMagic tv card.

urlybird,
I am sorry to disagree: Please read the FAQ carefully: Hauppauge cards, including WinTV PCI and USB boards, excluding WinTV-HD, WinTV-D, and WinTV-PVR. Use latest drivers provided by Hauppauge. However, for WinTV PCI users if your OS is Win98SE, WinME, Win2000, and WinXp, it is recommended that you use WDM driver available from Hauppauge site.
By the way, the WinTV-PVR is not the same card as a WinTV-250/350 card. See the Hauppauge site for details.

Guess I didn't read it carefully - so much for having Media Center as my one software package for my Home Entertainment Center (HDTV etc .)
