I am using the latest version of MC9.1 and I am having problems. While playing a CD, my computer goes into hibernation and MC does not prevent it from happening. I have my PC set to hibernate in 10 minutes if not being used (I also use this PC to record TV shows, so I do need to have it set up this way) Is there any setting that would keep MC9 from allowing my PC to hibernate? If not, could you please do an update so that it would?
Thanks,
Jim

There is nothing in MC proper for this. The force is with the OS. Is there a sensitivity setting that can be adjusted? Your saving next to nothing by having it hibernate. Have it pseudo-hibernate by turning the monitor and the hard disks off (may save a lot of wear & tear and power...well...maybe) after a certain period of inactivity. It's about the best you can do.

Try a google search. I just used "PC hibernation problems" and found a few.

I use other apps, WinDVD, TheaterTek, ZoomPlayer and they all prevent Hibernation, I would just like MC to do the same. Isn't there something that you could do to fix this?
Thanks,
Jim

If you're in Fullscreen, MC does disable power saving and the screen saver.
It doesn't in normal mode. Maybe we could add this in a future build.

thanks, I will set it to open in full screen mode and see if that solves my problem.

Thanks, that did the trick and if you make it an option in the future so that it would prevent hibernation in other modes, I for one would appreciate it.
Thanks again,
Jim
