Media Core seems to crash when Lyrics Finder is active (i.e in the plugin manager window, the button depressed is start) but when inactive or stopped, it seems to be fine. I don't know if it is a Lyrics Finder problem, but it seems to be fine in version 10.0.41. any help appreciated
EDIT: Playing Now and COver Art Finder seem to crashing this unstable build

anyone?

the plug-in should not be started by pressing the "Start" button.
And should only be started by going to the plug-in directly from the Plug-In tree.
I tried what you did but i could not get the plug-in or media center 10.0.57 to crash.
-
How do you stop the plug in though King? If the plug in is already started and you go to plug in manager to stop it only the 'start' button is available. So you have to press start and then stop. This sometimes causes MC to crash presumably because you are starting a plug in that's already started.
I reported this before and only see this behaviour with your plug ins. You said it sounded like an MC problem.
-
it maybe a bug in MC, but not a major one it should not let you start or stop a plug-in your already running. unless the plug-in is a mode 1 plug-in.
since i have not tryed to crash the program that way but a few times and never got it to crash i can't tell for sure.
the plug-in is only active when your in the plug-in, so there is no need to search it out and stop it other wise.

Well, I don't know if this applies to the latest version or not... but when I was using Lyrics Finder, I had to stop it when I was off the net or it would keep bringing up messageboxes that said something like "Can't get version number." (can't remember exactly).
This was only with earlier builds though (30 somethings) since I have no need to run it now as I've checked all my files through it.

orginaly i was allowing users to use the plugins in mode "1" always on, but when J river changed somethings on how plug-ins work in mc9 i created a work around. but later i changed the mode to "0"
some users may still have a "1" in the registry to allow it to run all the time. if so then they may see an error message or it not work properly.
