Title: "Upgrading file info..." hang

I just downloaded and installed Media Center(02-02-04) and the initial "Upgrading file info..." keeps hanging at (11121 of 26813) even for hours.  I am thinking either this is a problem with MC or with file #11121, but I have no idea which file that even is.  I am upgrading from MJ8 and nothing was wrong w/ MJ8.

i guess it is trying to update the database.

you can dump all that, and just re-import all the files.

It won't let me open the program until after it has completed the "Upgrading file info..." process

well what it is doing is reading the data files in MediaJukebox\Data folder

so lets say you rebooted your system

then made sure nothing was running media scheduler, media server etc...

then renamed mediaJukebox or the mediajukebox data folder to something else like ("\data bak\", for a sample)

then media center will not know or try to access the data files of the media jukebox data folder. and will then allow you to continue.

as i have said before i have never had a happy upgrade from one version to another, other may have.
