Using MJ 9.0.82.
I have successfully burned a number of CDs but for a particular collection of tracks I'm getting this error message in a message box called "CD Burning Process":
"Error writing pre-gap. Logical unit is in process of becoming ready." The message box doesn't go away & I have to click on the "Cancel" button. The CD seems to be ruined after this. I' ve wasted three CDs so far.
Any suggestions? Thanks.

Could you post your system info here (from MJ's help menu)?
Checkmark the "test mode" option until you get the problem sorted out, that way you won't wreck any more CD's.
Is it just particular tracks that cause the problem? Maybe uncheck the "decode direct to CD" option.

You might want to grab 9.0.84 then try checking "Use internal burning engine" on the cd writer settings page.
