Media Center 10.0.66 beta is available.
This is a beta. Avoid this if problems, changes, or crashes will upset you. Do NOT try this if you aren't prepared for trouble.
Please keep a list of issues you find and report them with each build until we have addressed them.
The latest known stable version of 9.1 is here:

Please check the license and price thread before you download:

IMPORTANT -- This build includes a reworked handheld system. Only IPOD and WMDM players currently work. Tread lightly if handheld support is important to you.

Still cannot upload anything to my Nomad 3.
When you try, soon as you press upload it says transfer complete...
Try and delete a track and MC just disappeares....
I don't know how to explain the third thing... So
Look at the tree under Nomad and the first column......

This could be a problem with WMDM. I'm not sure the Nomad supports it. If not, the current build won't work. See above.

It worked a few builds ago...

Oh and thank's for setting it as a link... Again I am not to knowledgable about web things... That was my first picture post.. ;D

Installation does not complete in Win98. Media Center 10 - Install Wizard shows as not responding in Task Manager and have to kill the installation. Then receive this error when starting MC:
Critical Error: Failed To Create Playback Zone

Just noticed the peak level indicator on the bottom left of DSP studio is not working in this build. Updates very slow.
-
Bug: Trailing slash is added to end of URLs in the "Filename (path)" field.
To reproduce:
Try modifying the "Filename (path)" field of a playlist entry to point it to a PLS playlist file (such as http://radiost.sc.llnwd.net:12570/listen.pls). Media Center will not let it be changed to this:
http://radiost.sc.llnwd.net:12570/listen.pls
But rather forces a trailing slash on the end, and makes the URL invalid, as follows:
http://radiost.sc.llnwd.net:12570/listen.pls/
If you separately set the "Filename (path)" field to be http://radiost.sc.llnwd.net:12570/ and the "Filename (name)" field to listen.pls, the stream still will not load ("Unknown error").

This build is a bit unstable for me. I've gotten several crashes just doing basic tasks in MC tonight. At one point, when I was playing with the synching window, the sync window popped back up after I cancelled it and it had disappeared. A few other random odd occurences have been happening along these lines.
The number indicating the amount of space left after a sync is also screwed up -- it's inaccurate, inconsitant, and it doesn't seem to update correctly.

3. Changed: iPod sync matching includes Track Number.
I just wanted to say thanks for implementing this one so quickly. This swiftly eliminates the issue that arose from albums using the same name for more than one track, which turned out to be more common that I had expected (I had 8 albums that did this.)
Thanks,
Larry

On my somewhat slow DVD-ROM drive, when ripping a CD, the very first track says it's being ripped at a very fast speed such as 30x, but the rest of the tracks report being ripped at about 5x-6x. The latter speeds is more accurate, representing the actual speed at which I'm ripping tracks.
I noticed this over the last few builds but am not sure when it started occuring.

7. Fixed: Screensaver wouldn't always get re-enabled when returning from full screen mode.
Haven't tested it yet but thank you.

Files transfer to iPod works now but Playlists don't come across.

Can you try transferring fewer files? Our theory is that there isn't enough space left to write the playlists.

Hi Jim,
I have transferred a TINY amount of data with the same result:
1. 45 songs, 1 smartlist, 1 static playlist with ~3 songs, 1 audiobook
Same result: No playlists & no audiobook playback
Good luck!

I just transfered 1 album to my ipod and now when I browse on my ipod, only 19 out of my about 100 albums show up. When I try to rebuild the database, MC crashes.
