We have three music lovers in our house, each with vastly different taste, each with our own handheld players.
Can anyone suggest a good strategy for managing all these files and players? Note my wife is a bit "shy" technically, so the plan needs to be pretty simple :)
Presently I have created a custom field called "Source". As we rip our music, we simply put our name into the new column. My playlists separate my stuff from the rest. Not too painful.
My wife's and my son's player have smaller capacity than mine so they like lower bitrate. The process of adjusting rip bitrate is just beyond my wife's ability, and is a bit of a pain to check and adjust back up for myself...
Question: [/u]
Does MC support multiple USERS, each with saved config & preferences (bit rate, file locations, playlists, players, etc.)?
If not, can I install multiple separate instances on MC10 on the same computer??
Thanks!

How about building different libraries? Each user with his own library, playlists, settings, etc.
Would that work for you?

Can I call MC & a specific library behind a simple icon?? That would be ideal!
-
It could be done by simply creating a shortcut and putting in the following...
mjextman.exe /load "alt library"
Unfortunately, this is a fictional command line :'(. I see nothing in...

...that will load a specific library.
Such an addition to the command list would be sweet for multiple users or those with split personalities (you can usually tell By Their Keyboard Habits...Ie: Inconsistent Use Of Caps On ~ Caps Off ... :-x).
