Title: Sincing with ipod slow

Got a new faster pc and put in the newest MC but it screwed up my play lists when I synced it with my ipod.  So I initlized the ipod and it wants to take several hours to sync.  Did it get slower even recopying all teh songs shouldn't take that long.  I am using firewire.   What am I doing wrong?
