Title: Tagging OGG files painfully slow

I have been updating tags in my library which is mainly OGG with some MP3 files.

When I change a tag on an OGG file the time taken to update the tag is at least an order of magnitude longer than changing tags on a MP3 file.

Any ideas?

It's how OGG tagging works.  There is no padding so it always rewrites the whole file.

All the programs we've tried do the same thing. (and so does the latest OGG code on their website)
