THANK YOU
It is because i put quality xlevel INSTEAD of %IN%OUt

With both it works
Quality 7 here
I use the 1.15r Alpha who is know to be the best  despite being Alpha

I use the MC plug-in for mpc.  Do you know what version of the encoder this uses?  Would I be better switching to setting mpc up as a separate encoder.?

Cheers

I've found you can just replace the mppenc.exe in the C:\Program Files\J River\Media Center\Plugins directory with the version you want to use.  That way, you can still use the "Encode on-the-fly while ripping" option...

Under the Encoding Options, Select the MPEGplus Encoder, Select Custom Quality, hit the Advanced button and enter the settings you want to use same as with the external encoder.

Sauzee

The encoder i use with EAC has just some little improvements

But does not give any sound improvement.

Anyway the 1.15 is not an exe but a prompt command.
It popup at each convertion stopping your typing if you are typing.
So not a solution.

Will try that skeeterfood said to see the result
