When MC is encoding, what does the "x" number next to the progress bar refer to?
Thanks,

Speed.
For example, 2X would mean twice as fast as realtime, so it'd take about 30 minutes for a 60 minute CD.

What the number is doing doesn't appear to follow this logic. The number seems to be specifically dependant on how long the track is -- the longer the track, the lower this number is. If it was simply a matter of displaying the "realtime" multiplier, the track length shouldn't really matter -- the speed at which a minute of material is encoded shouldn't change just because the overall track length is different. By this way of thinking, a bunch of short songs should encode much faster than a few long ones, which isn't the case.
