Title: Why does MC start up when I insert CD ..
Post by: Sweet Spot on February 22, 2004, 01:39:14 pm
considering I set the action to "nothing" on all 3 options for "action when media is inserted". Does this have something to do with the media scheduler ? I even checked the "ask every time" box, and no matter what, I insert an audio CD, and MC opens, starts playing the disc.

What's up with that ?

Thanks. Oh...using 9.1.316..from the main page.

P.S. I don't recall having this problem before. Seems to have popped up out of nowhere. I recently reverted back to this version from the latest build for other reasons. Did a full uninstall, clean.

Tools> options> File associations.  Uncheck Associate with Audio CD's.

Thanks, but isn't that more of a workaround rather than a true fix ? If I don't associate the two, that means that some other media player on my PC would take control no ? I'll do it though...the thought HAD crossed my mind. I guess the option of "do nothing" only applies its self if there IS another media player installed eh ?

I HAD QCD player installed, but uninstalled it when I got MC.

THanks.
