Hi,
is it right, when 5.1 in DSP-Studio for normal stereo-audio-files is active that the rear speakers from a 5.1 audio system get an audio signal, where the center is not hearable (better known as karaoke-effect?)? I think the phase from the both rear speakers is invertet to each other, which sounds very unpleasent.
Hope you understand what I try to say with my bad english...
Regards,
Nick

The idea is that the rear speakers only add ambience -- sort of like in a 5.1 movie.
Someday we may add more configuration for the cross-overs and mixes in JRSS.
Thanks Nick.

Hi Matt,
okay, but what i meant is that the rear speakers are out of phase with each other. When the right speaker is on its high-point, the left speaker is on its low point. Do you understand what I mean? You have to invert the phase of one channel, but be sure the rear speakers are then not out of phase with the front speakers!!!
Hopes this clears up the thing...
Regards,
Nick

rear speakers are out of phase with each other
Some soundcards do that. Swap the wires.

Hi,
well, I think that is a software problem because when viewing DVDs the rear channels are not out of phase with each other...
