I am currently using the trial version of MC9, trying to decide if I want to use it as a replacement for my TiVo desktop. So far I really like it, but I'm getting frustrated with the Internet Radio playlists I've created.
Creating the playlists is no problem, but for most stations the currently playing song is pulled in. When I go to view these stations on TiVo, the Playlist lists the song as the title, ie. Playlists>Internet Radio>Pop>"Song Title" instead of station name like "Groove Salad".
I've tried putting the name of the station in the song location, but it automatically updates if I play the station on my PC. I've also tried hiding the Song Title column, but that doesn't work either. Any suggestions? I just want my stations to display by station name! ?

This isn't ideal, but for a lot of reasons, it's hard to do something better. We'll look at it.

I'm a long way from a programmer, but it seems that simply not refreshing the song information would do the trick.
-
If I did that, I'd have lots of people (non-TiVo people) screaming at me because their radio stations no longer show the name of the song currently playing.

Maybe a preference setting?

That's one alternative. We're also looking at distinguishing the name of the station from the name of the song.

Thanks for looking into it. So far I'm really digging Media Center. BTW, can the cross fade features work when streaming to TiVo? I think it's a great feature on the PC version.
-
Cross fading is a lot of work, because the TiVo asks for individual songs, not a single stream.

Hi, I just downloaded MediaCenter10 and for the firts time I'm able to stream .asx radio stations to my TIVO. However, some of them are listed as WMV for some reason and even though I've changed the media type to audio TIVO refuses to play them. How can I actually change the MEDIA TYPE from wmv to wma?
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,

In the tag info, make sure you have selected show all columns, and then check the file type and media type.

I am able to change the MEDIA TYPE from video to audio but it doesn't allow me to change the FILE TYPE which is still showing as WMV....
