This is in late beta. It may still have problems.
Please reserve this thread for bugs. If you're not sure whether it's a bug, or you need to ask a question, please start a new thread.
Please keep a list of issues and report them from time to time until we have addressed them.

10.0.82 (3/2/04)
1. Changed: Stock View Schemes have "Populate Tree" on by default for new libraries.
2. Fixed: Setting a number fields to a very, very large number could crash MC.
3. Changed: Media Center does a better job of validating integer and decimal database entries.
4. Fixed: Hitting Alt+F4 while a wait message was showing would crash MC.
5. Fixed: A blank "Drive" column was being shown in the list view when ripping a CD.
6. Fixed: MC wasn't checking if a CD was being played if you started ripping from the action window.
7. NEW: Theater View remembers list style on a per-root basis. (Audio, Images, Video, etc.)
8. Fixed: Tune TV (F7) wouldn't always come to the front.
9. Changed: By default, new view schemes use the same image as their parent.
10. Fixed: Media Center would still translate accelerators with modal dialogs visible, making it possible to open multiple instances of dialogs like "Options."
11. Fixed: Some keyboard accelerators would be translated in fullscreen when it didn't make sense. (like Alt+F, Ctrl+Q, etc.)
10.0.81 (3/01/04)
1. Fixed: Media Editor could fail to decode an entire file in some cases.
2. Fixed: Menu shortcuts (Alt+F, Alt+E, etc.) weren't working properly.
3. Changed: Pressing F3 with an empty list search will prompt for a search before silently repeating the last search.
4. Changed: Selecting in Playing Now will follow current track on Previous / Next unless another selection is made.
5. Changed: Play button in Playing Now honors Options > General > Play button settings.
6. Fixed: Play button from Media Library root would start mixed playback even if an audio track was selected.
7. Changed: Zoom-in / Zoom-out for image playback was not working with the + and - keys by the backspace button.
8. Changed: Image playback doesn't pause a slideshow when changing the zoom, but instead just resets the playback position to 0:00 once the zoom is done.
9. Changed: Image playback position doesn't increment while auto-panning.
10. Changed: MC could use bi-cubic image resizing during an image slideshow, slowing it down too much to justify the quality gain.
11. Fixed: Auto-pan image playback could float around when zooming in / out.
12. Fixed: MC was not updating some areas of UI after a font was changed.
13. Fixed: On insertion of CD, if Auto detect of portables is enabled, MC would try to initialize the portable.
14. Changed: Added keyboard shortcuts for quick list style changing.

Reminder:
Portable device support for CF-card readers needs attention (doesn't work, that is).

All we need is "Bytes available for Upload" while building the queue...the list of ### is not very useful.

NEW: Theater View remembers list style on a per-root basis. (Audio, Images, Video, etc.)
Thank you for this change. While not every suggestion I've ever made has made it into MC, I do get the feeling that you guys really do make an honest effort to listen to your users and make suggested changes when appropriate and possible. Keep up the good work.

Bug in Theatre View
The new feature that "remembers" list styles on a per root basis is not working when in Playing Now. Here it alway shows thumbnails even if the rest is showing lists.

Playing Now is its own root.

When ripping, the rip speed is still not showing up correctly. This has been happening since build 64, I think.

Also, this build seems a little "sluggish" but it may be just me. :-\

Playing Now is its own root.
Now I'm confused. I don't see a place to set Playing Now's list style.

Is the F2 editing problem scheduled to be fixed?

Download Manager is taking over even though it has been disabled.
I double & triple checked and 'disable browser integration' is checked, however whenever I select certain file types (only .asx & .asf so far) Download Manager still starts up. It does not start for other file types, but so far my testing has been much less than exhaustive so there may be other file types its interfering with as well.

This is new to the later versions of MC 10.0.+.
If I have a MC 9.1.317 running Media Server (server side), and a MC 10.x series Media server client, things work fine. I can start the client, press the next track button and things do switch. Granted, one has never been able to move the slider without hanging MC, but other than that, they work.
Take the same scenario, but replace the server side with MC 10.0.80. The client starts, pulls down the library as usual and starts playing the first track when I press play. If, however, I press next track, the client hangs -- the button stays indented and nothing goes on from there --- no sound, no futher actions on the client. Windows XP then notices that the client has stopped responding.

Jantypas,
JRiver will ALWAYS tell you that to use Media Server / Client functionality, you need to be running the same version on each end.

There seems to be a slight redrawing problem.
Standard, Unfiltered View: Before Image (http://www.binarymatrix.com/mc/before.jpg)
Clicked on First Category: After Image (http://www.binarymatrix.com/mc/after.jpg)
I can click back and forth all day and the same corruption occurs, i.e., it's very repeatable. Also, the corruption goes away upon the first redraw after proceeding to resize the window.
As a possible clue <shrug>, in the "Before Image (http://www.binarymatrix.com/mc/before.jpg)," two columns (rating & duration) are being hidden from the view; but because of auto-column-sizing, they do show up in the "After Image (http://www.binarymatrix.com/mc/after.jpg)."

4. Changed: Selecting in Playing Now will follow current track on Previous / Next unless another selection is made.
Now if I select my action window to view the image, the image will follow the playing tracks.

I didn't get a chance to download .81 where these changes were made....
The auto pan zoom in/zoom out still goes too far in or starts too close.
I love this feature, it is one of those little magic gems that makes people say WOW. But it is not really ready for prime time yet. I don't know how to suggest a fix beyond making it a user selectable percentage.....
I'm not trying to suggest that we be able to set it up frame by frame. The on-the-fly nature of this feature is the best thing about it.
In order for it to be effective though, it only needs to give the slide some movement, not to zoom all the way in to the whites of someones eyeball........
Thanks, as always, for listening.
