I remember seeing an ad in a magazine for a 4 gig USB flash drive, but now I can't find any references to it online. In the ad, a woman was wearing the drive as an earring. Can anybody point me to a URL for this?
I know it's OT for the forums, but I know we have a lot of geeks on here, and my dad doesn't believe that the drive exists.

Did you include the USB part of the search string? The first hit says "4GB USB Flash Drive", and the second (not counting nested) is what crowfan posted.

Yeah, I just copy-pasted John's suggested string. The first hit that was on that page said 4GB USB drive, but there wasn't one on the page when you clicked. I went with another one on that page, hope it helped :)

Crowfan,
"It's going to be a trilogy." Robert Jordan, circa 1989
Now that's funny. I've read 10 of them and have started on the eleventh (a prequel trilogy it seems). I don't think he knows how to end it. It's time.
Of course, a 20 volume series is a good retirement plan --- if it keeps selling.

CVIII,
Isn't that great? When I saw that quote on wotmania.com, I just had to have it :)
New Spring is actually pretty good. Moves fairly quickly and isn't stuffed full of useless garbage, although the beginning is a little slow. It's actually gotten me back into Jordan again; I've been reading the summaries on Encyclopedia WoT lately and enjoying them.

I do enjoy the series and am happy to get the latest edition, whatever it is. But I can't help thinking "When will this end?".

I am currently in the process of rereading the series so i can read 10 properly as I had totally forgotten what had happened...while waiting for ten though I got into George R R Martins Song of Ice and Fire. If you guys haven't read I heartily recommend it. I would actually say he was a lot better than Jordan...there are currently three books and the fourth is on the way but he knows exactly how many he is going to write...

NoCode,
GRRM is incredible. Currently my favorite. Robin Hobb is also great.
Some day I will reread them all, but for now I'm satisfying myself with the summaries and cross-references at Encyclopedia WoT (http://www.photeus.com:8090/~ewot/). It's a great site.

Is that in the "Game of Thrones" series? I have read three of those. It's a great story and very well written but it seems that EVERYBODY dies.
CVIII
Loraan,
Sorry about hijacking your thread. I hope you were finished with it.
-
CVIII,
Yup that's the one. I kind of like that fact though; you never know what will happen next, and you can't be too sure of anything.

PS, yeah sorry about the hijack :-[ :)

What about the iPod Mini? Down here in NZ, everyone would call it "Flash"!
It's not a flash drive, but it's pretty small... has 4 gb... and I think that it's USB or FW.

Actually, that thought wasn't too far off the mark... There was just this article in Slashdot.
http://apple.slashdot.org/article.pl?sid=04/03/05/1720230&mode=thread (http://apple.slashdot.org/article.pl?sid=04/03/05/1720230&mode=thread)
It talks about 4GB Flash MP3 players. You might find one that does the job. (Though I think that I like the iPod Mini more. Which according to the article, has sold out. I just wish it were 2GB and $150.)
