I've been using MC 10.0.82 for a while and just decided to convert my iPod over as well. The music transfer was great - very quick and easy. Because of the size of my music collections, I prefer not to synchronize, but rather add albums manually.
My question is about SmartLists. Do they work on the iPod? And if so, is there a way to copy the playlist over without copying all the associated music? I would like it to work with the music I chose to put on my iPod. For example, I have SmartLists set up for Genre, so just play the songs on my iPod that fit that genre category.
Thanks-
Jake

Jake,
Smartlists you create in MC will transfer to iPod, but they are file based, they are not dynamic. I would advise creating your smartlists in MC and then use synchronization which will handle all the file matching for you without retransfering music that is already on iPod.
Steve.
PS. Can you post any followups in the main iPod thread? I will close this thread now.
