10.0.85 (3/8/04)
1. Fixed: Portable AW will reflect changes to queued files handheld view.
2. Changed: Drive B is recognizable as a removable from within MC.
3. Changed: Pressing 'Play' from windowed mode no longer jumps to Fullscreen.
4. Fixed: Analyze Audio file list was not visible.
5. Fixed: Auto-size columns would not work properly with the rating column when it was the first visible column.
6. Changed: Tuned column auto-sizing to make columns with high variance wider.
7. Fixed: Alt+F4 could close the entire app instead of current dialog in some popups. (ex. DSP Studio)
8. Fixed: Select All / Select None would be enabled even when no list was visible.
9. Fixed: In mixed playback mode, MC would show a blank for a missing / invalid image instead of skipping it.
10. Fixed: Attempting to play an empty list could restart playback of the current track.
11. Fixed: Theater View 'Display Options' area didn't have mouse navigation buttons at the bottom.
12. Changed: Added line to tagging failure message listing some possible causes of errors.
13. Changed: 'Favorites' toolbar button renamed 'Navigation' since it shows entire navigation menu along with favorites.
14. Fixed: Menu shortcuts (with ALT down) were being assigned case sensitive so there could be two shortcuts for the same letter.
15. Changed: WMDM file transfer cancel will happen immediately, not at end of file.
16. Fixed: Download Manager failed to download files from case sensitive server.
10.0.84 (3/4/04)
1. Fixed: License dialog would not be visible if MC was in full screen mode.
2. Fixed: Download Manager would crash on closing.
3. Fixed: MC does a better job of keeping the keyboard focus on the display in windowed and fullscreen mode. (so keyboard shortcuts always work for DVD, TV, visualizations, etc.)
4. Changed: 3D visualization presets can be changed with the keyboard buttons 0...9.
5. Fixed: Some shortcuts would be translated in fullscreen mode that didn't make sense. (Ctrl+O, etc.)
6. Fixed: The "Failed to Update Files" message could list more files than would comfortably fit in a message box.
7. Fixed: MC would start with the "Back" navigation button enabled, even though there was no history.
8. Changed: CD burn action window shows time or MB remaining rather than percentage full.
9. Changed: Enter no longer returns from fullscreen.
10. Fixed: Pausing, then starting playback of another track would play a little of the paused track.
11. Changed: Setting a numeric field to 0 will show as empty instead of as 0.
12. Fixed: Playing certain files could cause a dead-lock on Win98.
13. Changed: Theater View's Playing Now always shows the playing file. (instead of always showing the first page of files)
14. Fixed: Download Manager took over downloading even if "Disable Browser Integration" was checked.

Video Rewind/Fastforward Bug
During video playback, rewind and fastforward (ctrl+left/right) are no longer functioning. I believe this may have started with the previous build. This affects Mpeg1, Mpeg2, and WMV files. Seems to be working fine for Quicktime files though.

We know about this one and we're working on it. Should be fixed in a few builds.

When attempting to remove a file from the media library that has already been deleted, I'm getting a crash.
Media Jukebox.exe
The instruction at "0x005df548" referenced memory at "0x00000010". The memory could not be read.
This doesn't seem to happen when removing files that still exist on the hard drive.
Can't reproduce that. It is working ok for me.

First reported in 10.0.84, still present in 10.0.85:
When ripping a CD in the AW, if the ripping spped is 9X or less, the speed displays properly (i.e., "9x"). But once it goes to 10x or above (once it reaches two digits), it displays as "10...." It stays this way even if you expand the tree/AW. Maybe the progress bar could be cut down a bit to allow both digits to display?

1) MC opens the Download manager for some reason, whenever you click on a asx streaming link. Older versions never did that, how do I disable this behavior? The streams still work if I cut and paste them into the MC without opening the download manager.
2) Open in last location does not work if Audio mode is selected-- goes to the MC web page instead of the Media Library.
-
If you try to delete the current library and it is empty then switch to another library, MC crashes.
Open bugs reported in 10.0.84 thread:1) Media Center Library Manager allows invalid pathnames to be entered in the location text box for specifing where to save the library. This causes lots of problems.
2) After double-clicking on the title bar of MC to maximize from a normal window state, a mouse down event is sent to the mouse cursor position after the maximize has taken place. This can bring up the "Edit View Schemes" drop down list if the mouse happens to end up sitting above a pane header for example.

Why on earth does MC10 have to continually "retrieve file info" from a handheld device (ipod) whenever I click on the drive in the MC window.
ie, I click on the ipod's drive letter, it scans the files. I click back onto my media library (or anywhere else). I then click back on the ipod drive, and it has to scan the files again! Surely it could be smart enough to realise nothing's changes since the last time it scanned them??

Bug still there: Hitting next in Visualisations does not always, in fact rarely updates cover art unless it's set to be AlwaysOn. Whilst it's acknowledged that most will have cover art set to AlwaysOn as a plasma user I prefer a different Onequation to prevent burn in.
-
4. Fixed: Analyze Audio file list was not visible.
The list is now visible but when Analyze is clicked the status changes to 0% and nothing happens. This is for any MP3 or OGG I have.
I recently imported a few just to see if 'new' files would analyze. They do not.

I am getting a Media Core error on every close. Not sure what info is best to send you but it is everytime...

Deleted option - PLEASE bring it back:
There used to be an option (and support) for having MJ/MC drill down when viewing removable media (like a data CD). This has been removed and is needed back. I catalog all my MP3 data CD backups in MC and having to click on every folder on a CD in order for MC to catalog the entire disk is stupid (a pain). Please restore the previous option and support (I forget the exact option name). I saw someone else a few weeks back complain about this missing option, too.

I didn't know you could do this. This is a great feature for a program used to organize data. Please bring it back.

A visualization component only gets run when it's "on". If it misses the track change event because it was off, there's nothing you can do.
A workaround would be to leave the cover art on, but turn on / off a layer or flush.

I'm also having a Media Core error on every close. I reverted to .84 and it's not crashing on exit anymore.
Later.

We left a scalpel in the patient. Should be fixed today. Sorry for the problem.
