I have posted this short tutorial on how to do this rather painlessly. I am not sure why MC9 is not reading the M3u playlist correctly even though winamp and WMP9 read it fine.
Hope this helps peopel who still want ot use both programs or make it painlesss (well 5 minutes) to convert to MC9.1/10

In today's build of MC 10, MC will recognize ratings from iTunes and they will then be syncable to MC. This will be more efficient than all the exporting, etc.

Wow!!! I finally figured out a way to do this and you have fixed it. Amazing.
So MC10.881 will READ the iTUNES library you export or directly off the iPOD itself?
-
It will read off of the iPod directly. The test I did with the new build was I modified some ratings on files in iTunes. Then I accessed the iPod from MC and MC recoginzed the changed ratings and could sync the data into MC's database.

So I attempted what you said and recieved an unexepected exception. Don't have the error here.
So here is what i have
iTUNES (PC) formated iPOD
about 10.5 gigs filled
iTUNES ratings
MC 10.099 from 3/11/04
So
When I chose the iPOD (Drive H:) I wanted to sync. This caused the crash of MC10
Which sync options should we select to get the ratings to sync?

schjmura,
You need to have the 'Update data from Portable' option selected. I did not test with large numbers of files and will have to test more next week. I tested with 100 files in iTunes, followed by a sync to MC.
