I have the same problem with 9.1 as with 10.0: from time to time the program terminates with no apparent reason: no error windows, no non-responsive program message, no nothing, just returning to Windows. I use Win XP Pro. Anybody else has this problem?

Abbe:
Can you keep MC running long enough to post your system info (in MC, Help/System Info) here? It wont help me because Im pretty much clueless when things just stop working, but it may help some of the real experts on the board.

Anybody else has this problem?
No, never.
What does it tend to be doing when it terminates?
Make your that your soundcard and video drivers are up to date and run Windows update.

It happens on my VIA C3 866Mhz sometimes; but never on my Pentium 2.4.

The Via chipset problem. Try a search for this on google. I've forgotten what the cure is (bios update or bios setting change?) but it is cureable. Use "Via chipset" + "latency" in your search.
It would be nice if you could post what you learn here.

Just had MC "disappear" on me when moving files around in the My Computer section of the tree. I'm using an Asus 865 board so no Via chipset here.
No idea what triggered it - I was just moving files around and on about the tenth move the display of the tree corrupted (missing icons etc). I hit F5 to refresh the display and the program just disappeared.

Madcow,
Can you provide any more details about your system?

It's happened to me with the lastest v10 build. I was messing around with KingSparta's CoverArt plugin when Media Center just closed. It was a quick close with no error messages. I have a 1.2GHz Pentium 3 with XP Home.
