Title: convert wma to mp3 failing

i just upgraded to 8.0.400 and now i'm no longer able to convert .wma to .mp3 ... or convert between any file types.  i immediately receive a "Failed to convert" error message, and nothing else.

please help!

You can't convert protected WMA files.  If you created them yourself, please check the options in WMP and turn off the "personal security" feature.

can't convert?  i used to be able to convert until i upgraded to the lastest version.  
I used Media Jukebox to Rip to .wma then convert to .mp3
so, the new version of MJ doesn't support converting?

I'm having a similar problem as well.  I created the WMA file in MJ and now can't convert it to any other format.  The Conversion dialog indicates that the input device isn't supported.  Could it be that MJ is looking for WMA version 8, and the files are encoded with WMA 9?  (the properties page indicates the file is WMA9 format).

Also, I didn't see an input plugin for WMA 9 on this site, but there's definitely a WMA 8 one.

MJ can't convert from WMA.  It's a long story.

Media Center can.  It's here:
